Janet’s Story: We are raising money to help my Janet travel to Memorial Sloan Kettering and pay her medical bills. She was diagnosed in August with this rare blood disease that has attacked her kidneys. She is now at stage 5 and will be on dialysis. Janet and her husband live in Delaware and have to travel weekly for her chemotherapy treatments to New Jersey at MSK, which has hematologists specializing in this disease. Not only is this disease attacking her kidneys it also causes her to have low potassium, magnesium and carbon dioxide levels giving her muscle weakness, back pain, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue.
